An integrated campaign, that follows Yanni the yeti, Penny the penguin and Stan the snowman as they come together to create a Christmas tale, whilst representing the more serious matter of homelessness during the Christmas period.

Papa John’s is a brand with an ethos of ‘doing better’ It’s why, together with the Papa John’s marketing team, we created a Christmas brand partnership with Crisis, a charity on a mission to eradicate homelessness and support those in need during the festive period and beyond. Christmas should be a joyous time shared with family and friends however this isn’t the case for everyone so this campaign centres around bringing people together at a very special time of year.

The integrated campaign spans across TV, digital channels, social media, in-store activity including a limited edition pizza box design, on-line merchandise store and more. Every touchpoint becomes an opportunity to raise considerable awareness for the charity, including their logo being seen by millions of viewers on TV and online.

There are so many ways to donate, with 50p going to the charity with every festive meal deal purchase and every last penny of the profits from the merchandise store going to Crisis. Festive illustration.

The master campaign illustration shows people, even creatures, from all walks of life in a festive scene that spreads positivity and joy. Jamie Rayner, Creative Director at Cygnus said: “We wanted to create a colourful illustration that you can get truly lost in and discover new things every time you look at it. You can see elves taking the dough to the fire oven and spot Penny the penguin dancing on top of a speaker next to the DJs. It really captures how important togetherness is during the Christmas period.”

Our story shows how our lonely characters meet new friends and enjoy good times at the festive feast festival. ‘Christmas is better shared’ taps into shared moments, helping others and speaking out when you need help and support. The animation gives a nostalgic, Christmas feel whilst sharing a story of positivity for the future.
